WHY SCIENTISTA?
We are a group of women collaborating for women like us: women pursuing careers related to data science and adjacent fields as well as women who are enthusiastic about data for any reason. Thus, data scientista is more broadly fitting.
The Data Scientista Society began meeting in 2016 and legally organized out of Raleigh, NorthCarolina in 2019. In December of 2024, the board of the Data Scientista Society has suspended operations until successors can be found by October 31, 2025.
